Wine Style
This wine is the first release of our classic Australian red blend, designed to be rich, yet soft and extremely approachable, showcasing a unique balance of new world fruit and old world barrel aging technique.
Winemaking
This blend of estate grown Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc retains primary fruit characters, coupled with a balanced acidity and a refined tannin structure. Each varietal was matured in a combination of old and new French Oak for an average of 4.5 years and expertly blended together to achieve a unique but very approachable and easy drinking style.
Sensory
Aroma: A lifted bouquet of purple and red fruits leads to hints of dark berries, vanilla, pepper, clove and dark chocolate.
Palate: Intense, rich, round and seductive with a combination of bright and complex fruit characters of plums, blackberry, raspberry and dark cherry balanced with toasty oak and vanilla notes. The tannins are fine-gained and well integrated.
Peak Drinking
This is an ideal wine for drinking now but will improve with further bottle aging.
